Oh, THAT explains it!

The last time we went to one of the NC Museum of Art's kids' programs, I brought snacks. Graham crackers, to be exact. And as I doled them out to Robbie, a mom near me kept giving me weird looks. I figured I was just being sensitive and reading into her expressions, or maybe she was bothered by Robbie's squirms and/or age. (The program was for 2-5 years, but I can't bring Jocelyn without bringing Robbie too!). I didn't think much of it, though, until later.

When I realized that our graham crackers, which we had - before that day - only eaten in public from snack bags, looked a little different without the context of packaging.

This? Okay to feed your child.

This? Notsomuch.
