Our face-painting surprise
/
Last month I headed to the library for a regular visit - return books, check out new ones. Nothing out of the ordinary, but - since Jocelyn LOVES books - still an exciting outing for her.
But little did we know!
About ten minutes after we arrived, one of the librarians came over to the kids' section and addressed me and the other moms, saying, "You're all here for the face painting, right?" Umm, not really. But it was free, so why not?
Jocelyn confused the poor woman by asking to be painted "like Heckler." After I explained that Heckler is our orange cat, we were in business! Of course, Jocelyn also requested pink. Shocker, huh?
Actually, the shocker was that she sat still!
As if that wasn't enough fun, then we all walked over to the nearby park.
And - by the way - yes, those are pants in size 12 months that my almost three-year-old is wearing as capris. That's what you have to do sometimes with a skinny, long-legged girl!
